Good with his Hands is the most amazing heartfelt story with characters that I just wanted to give them a big hug for what they have gone through. Ruby Valentine has come along way since her accident where her best friend Claire, passed away. However she is still not quite back to herself and who could blame her? Jesse happens to have a list that he intends to share with Ruby. Kind of a bucket list his sister Claire wrote! Needless to say the somber years since her passing, both Ruby and Jesse need some happiness. They only have two weeks to conquer the list since Jesse is moving away. Their bond and ease of friendship is wonderful and it’s definitely great to see Ruby get out of her comfort zone and the journey they go on caused a myriad of emotions for me as well as the characters. Can these two remain good friends or do they jump into a relationship? I loved this book so much. The collaboration of these two authors is brilliant, they have given us a story that will make you want to try new things too. Life is short and we should embrace what we have. I love both of these authors and I was intrigued to see how this book would turn out, well I loved Ruby Valentine and Jesse Hendrix’s story and I highly recommend this great read. Ruby and Jesse have come to rely and lean on each other in their time of grief when Ruby lost her best friend and Jesse lost his sister Claire in an accident that left Ruby wondering if she will ever walk again. Now a few years later their friends has turned into so much more, they both realise what they have is more than just good friends and now it’s time to explore those feelings..... This book touched me on so many levels, I fell hook, line and sinker for Jesse and I adored Ruby and the strength she showed as she learnt to walk again, I smiled and I swooned as I joined this couple’s journey and I was left wanting more. I was excited when I learnt that Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente were collaborating again and this book was a wonderful read. I love both authors writing style so knowing that they have done this together is a win/win for me. This was angsty and at times extremely emotional as Ruby Valentine and Jesse Hendrix struggle to come to terms with the death of her best friend and his sister Claire from the accident that nearly destroyed Ruby’s ability to walk. . They have leaned on one another in their time of grief, through Ruby’s recovery and now two years later are still struggling. The secondary characters, Jesse and Ruby’s family were such an integral part of this story and really added an additional layer to this story. Jesse and Ruby have been friend’s for years and what neither of them realize is that they have deeper feelings for one another than just friendship. A road trip together will see them explore their feelings and perhaps help Ruby bring back the spark that has been missing from her life. I admired Ruby’s strength and determination to fight her way back from near death and to walk again. I fell hard for Jesse, he is a man I would love to have in my life and I cannot wait to listen to this one on audio.

The most amazing heartfelt story!

Good with his Hands is the most amazing heartfelt story with characters that I just wanted to give them a big hug for what they have gone through. Ruby Valentine has come along way since her accident where her best friend Claire, passed away. However she is still not quite back to herself and who could blame her? Jesse happens to have a list that he intends to share with Ruby. Kind of a bucket list his sister Claire wrote! Needless to say the somber years since her passing, both Ruby and Jesse need some happiness. They only have two weeks to conquer the list since Jesse is moving away. Their bond and ease of friendship is wonderful and it’s definitely great to see Ruby get out of her comfort zone and the journey they go on caused a myriad of emotions for me as well as the characters. Can these two remain good friends or do they jump into a relationship? I loved this book so much. The collaboration of these two authors is brilliant, they have given us a story that will make you want to try new things too. Life is short and we should embrace what we have. Literally cannot wait for more!

Good With His Hands was everything I expected and so much more and I can honestly say I have no idea which author wrote what and that’s a sure sign of two very talented authors who work well together. I love both of these authors and I was intrigued to see how this book would turn out, well I loved Ruby Valentine and Jesse Hendrix’s story and I highly recommend this great read. Ruby and Jesse have come to rely and lean on each other in their time of grief when Ruby lost her best friend and Jesse lost his sister Claire in an accident that left Ruby wondering if she will ever walk again. Now a few years later their friends has turned into so much more, they both realise what they have is more than just good friends and now it’s time to explore those feelings..... This book touched me on so many levels, I fell hook, line and sinker for Jesse and I adored Ruby and the strength she showed as she learnt to walk again, I smiled and I swooned as I joined this couple’s journey and I was left wanting more. This is a very special read that stayed with me long after I read the final words. I urge you all to one click this gem, you won’t be disappointed.

Lauren Blakely has teamed up with Lili Valente to bring us a delectable romance with a friends to lovers trope. After a tragedy, Ruby wakes from a comma to find her best friend has passed. Her besties brother, whom she has had a crush on for years, not only takes the place of her best friend but as they spend more and more time together reminiscing about Claire and other things, after two years they become something more. This is not just a tale of falling for your friends brother, it’s deeper with overcoming adversity, finding yourself and fulfilling your own passions and not other’s expectations. And most importantly, trust - trusting your instincts and doing the hard things even if you’re scared. It may have been just me, but this was a super quick read that pulls you in with these cute main characters. I found it more in the contemporary romance than romcom but it still delivered with some good laughs. Ruby is a strong woman having to learn all the basics again after the accident and with Jesse as a supportive pal, only solidifies their bond. I think if Claire was still around, she’d give them her blessing and would be thrilled they found each other. If you’re a fan of epilogues, then you will be happy with these three. Each of them is adorable. Now to wait for Gigi’s story and her Hollywood hunk lookalike. Should be a doozy.

I was excited when I learnt that Lauren Blakely and Lili Valente were collaborating again and this book was a wonderful read. I love both authors writing style so knowing that they have done this together is a win/win for me. This was angsty and at times extremely emotional as Ruby Valentine and Jesse Hendrix struggle to come to terms with the death of her best friend and his sister Claire from the accident that nearly destroyed Ruby’s ability to walk. . They have leaned on one another in their time of grief, through Ruby’s recovery and now two years later are still struggling. The secondary characters, Jesse and Ruby’s family were such an integral part of this story and really added an additional layer to this story. Jesse and Ruby have been friend’s for years and what neither of them realize is that they have deeper feelings for one another than just friendship. A road trip together will see them explore their feelings and perhaps help Ruby bring back the spark that has been missing from her life. I admired Ruby’s strength and determination to fight her way back from near death and to walk again. I fell hard for Jesse, he is a man I would love to have in my life and I cannot wait to listen to this one on audio.
